The Carp lake has a good mix of Mirror , Common and Grass Carp to keep you interested. The lake has a clay bottom with small pockets of gravel, there is a small island offering a good feature with overhanging trees. There is no access onto the island. The depths vary from 0.5 - 2.6 metres with a small stream running into the shallows.
Alan Richards was back for his 4th visit to us and landed this stunning 52lb 4oz Mirror in June 2015. He was using our Salmon & Crab boilies.
The lake is made up of several bays with plenty of overhanging trees and reeds.
There are no set swims on so you can set up where ever you like…
Unlike the carp lake there are cleared areas along the sides of the Cat lake that give plenty of room for double swims.
When a separate group have the Carp lake we ask that the dam wall is kept clear.
This 94lb Cat was caught by John Ellerton in 2011 and has not been landed since!!
The Cat lake has hundreds of Mirror and Common Carp up to 30lb making it a real “runs” water with the excitement of monster Cats to keep the interest going.
The lake has a clay bottom which is 2.5 meters deep at the dam wall, gradually sloping up to the shallows. There is a long cigar shaped island offering plenty of overhanging trees and the bridge gives added challenges. There is no access to the island.
